Concept 60 (RIP)

This is a Concept 60. Typically, as soon as my first Concept 60 SR was sold , I got a NIB Jet Ranger fuselage kit for the Concept 60. How annoying is that...? It's in good shape overall, but has a repair to the skids. The heli is fitted with Sanwa r/c gear and SRX gyro (with specific servo mounted on the boom) and has a matching transmitter that looks like something from the ark...!. The drive to the tail from the servo is via a crappy plastic bowden cable though so It'll be ditched for a metal rod ASAP. The heli has got carbon blades by Northern Helicopter Products and is fitted with an OS Max 61 FS and an expensive looking tuned pipe.

The plan is to fly this heli, but I'm holding out for a more modern Concept 60 (SRII hopefully) on  which to mount a Jet Ranger Fuselage.

*** Update *** Two tanks of fuel were run through this heli setting it up before experiencing severe uncommanded pitch changes. I successfully rescued it three times while trying to bring it back for an emergency landing, but on the fourth attempt the heli was simply too low to recover. The throttle was killed as there was no chance and she augered in from about 10 feet up nose-first. Faulty pitch servo potentiometer was to blame. Blades, flybar, boom and servo tray was the only damage, but I have decided to strip this helicopter and use it for spares.

RIP ye olde vintage heli. Shame to bin these old birds, but even superman would have struggled to save this one I am afraid.
