Some answers to frequently asked questions...
What is Concept WORLD...?
- Concept WORLD was started in early 2007 by me, Rupert Kent. I have had a passion for radio controlled models since I received my first RC car as a gift at the age of five. That's me in the photo above with one of my classic Kyoshos - a Concept 60 Jet Ranger. As I focused my collection of helicopters on the now discontinued Kyosho models, I found there was a need for a web-resource relating to the Concepts and thus Concept WORLD was born. The site has since grown into the most popular Concept dedicated resource on the web.
Where are you based...?
- I am an Englishman living in Switzerland.
I heard you are "The Concept Man" and have a lot of parts. Are they for sale...?
- I do have some $25,000 worth of new-old-stock parts that I have collected to keep my own fleet of helicopters flying. Although I no longer sell them per-se, if you have a specific request then please contact me and I'll try to help.
Didn't you have an eBay store...?
- Yes but I got fed up with eBay's opaque pricing structure and stupid management interface that made it very difficult for me to manage my inventory and sell my parts at a price that enabled me to break even (I did not sell parts for profit). In the end, I canned it as it was more trouble that it was worth and I figured I'd rather hang on to as many spares as possible to keep my helicopters flying into the future.
Do you have any other Kyosho helicopters other than the Concepts...?
- No, I am 100% focused on the Concepts although I am actively looking for very good condition Convert and Convert EX. I do not collect the Nexus or Caliber series of helicopters. |
